Huawei SUN2000-30K-MC0 / 40K-MC0 – Smart string inverters for commercial photovoltaic systems

The Huawei SUN2000-30K-MC0 and SUN2000-40K-MC0 are state-of-the-art three-phase string inverters for commercial and industrial photovoltaic systems. With a rated power output of 30 kW and 40 kW respectively, and a maximum efficiency of 98.7 per cent, they ensure maximum energy yields and cost-effective system operation. The units combine intelligent monitoring, comprehensive safety features and simple installation in a compact housing.

Four independent maximum power point trackers (MPPT) with a total of eight DC inputs allow for optimal adaptation to different roof orientations and shading conditions. The wide MPPT voltage range from 180 to 1,000 V, together with a maximum input voltage of 1,100 V, offers a high degree of flexibility when designing a wide variety of PV systems.

To ensure maximum system safety, both inverters feature numerous integrated protection functions. These include arc fault detection (AFCI), DC and AC overvoltage protection, reverse polarity protection, string fault monitoring, insulation monitoring, grid and off-grid detection, as well as integrated PID recovery, which supports the long-term performance of suitable solar modules.

Communication takes place via RS485 and the integrated Wi-Fi in conjunction with the FusionSolar app. Optionally, smart dongles for Wi-Fi, Ethernet or 4G can be used to enable convenient system monitoring and remote maintenance. In addition, the inverters support the Huawei MERC-1100W/1300W-P optimisers via DC-MBUS.

With an IP66 protection rating, natural convection cooling without external fans, an operating temperature range of –25 °C to +60 °C and a maximum operating altitude of 4,000 m, the units are ideally suited for long-term outdoor use. The compact housing, measuring 640 × 530 × 270 mm and weighing 45 kg, makes transport and installation easier.
